Péter Márki-Zay refuted most of the allegations in the damaging documents that the united opposition leader announced and published about himself on Monday.
The united opposition leader told HVG that he had never been an insurance salesman in Canada, but had worked in “telecommunication services,” and denied that he had been involved with any money laundering or MLM schemes associated with the company.
Márki-Zay did acknowledge the truth of one allegation in the dossier, that a certain György H., whom the documents claim identifies as a “light eater,” offered several thousand dollars of financial aid to his wife.
HVG managed to speak to György H., who claimed that he did not have close connections to the Márki-Zay family. However, the Hódmezővásárhely mayor said that any money given by György H. to his wife was completely independent of any work he did abroad.
