Viktor Orbán to Open August CPAC Conference in Dallas

Viktor Orbán will open the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on August 4 in Dallas, Texas, the Prime Minister’s press chief told state news agency MTI.

CPAC events have brought together leading U.S. right-wing conservatives since 1974, but the first CPAC in Europe was only held this past May in Budapest. The taxpayer-funded Center for Fundamental Rights organized the event in the Bálna, calling it a “conservative political jamboree.”

Prime Minister Orbán was a keynote speaker for the event in May, which also featured video messages from former President Donald Trump and television personality Tucker Carlson. [HVG]

Orbán’s crush on the American far right became public in 2008 and an official egagement was re-confirmed this year. No doubt, a glorious honeymoon will follow. Payed by rich Hungarian taxpayers, of course.

US Republicans and so-called conservatives have lost their ever-loving minds. These chickens will come home to roost.
