The weakening of the forint that began last week continued on Monday morning, setting new historical lows for the Hungarian currency. The exchange rate against the euro temporarily rose to 370 forints, making 370.24 the highest exchange rate ever recorded.
The currency strengthened a bit after that, but was still over 369 against the euro for most of the day. Shortly before 5pm, it weakened again to 370.2, according to HVG. The exchange rate against the dollar was at its lowest point of the year, at 329.17, while the Swiss franc rate was also at a historic low of 353.3.
