Index reported yesterday morning that in the last 24 hours, 6,804 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Hungary. This represents an increase compared to 6,268 cases reported on the previous day.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 892,164 Hungarians have been infected with Covid, with the number of actively-infected patients now at 56,260. There are presently 3,629 patients hospitalized with coronavirus, 366 of whom are on ventilators.
The virus has killed another 83 people, bringing to the total number of deaths due to the epidemic in Hungary to 31,184, according to data from the government’s information portal.
