The Metropolitan Court will make a decision on whether to extradite Zsolt Hernádi, President and CEO of Hungary’s largest company MOL, to Croatia after the Croatian Supreme Court upheld a guilty ruling against Hernádi.

Hernádi and former Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader had been jointly convicted in a Croatian regional court of corruption and organized crime from a crooked deal, with Sanader receiving a jail sentence of six years, and the MOL President sentenced in absentia to two years in jail.

In a press release, MOL expressed its disappointment in connection with the ruling. [Népszava]
