Hungary Isolated in V4 Due to Position on War

Denník N published an article on the crisis in the V4 and how the Hungarian government had become isolated within the group because of its position on Ukraine.

Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger spoke last week about how disappointed he was in Hungary, while Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said he was just as outraged as the Slovaks and Czechs by countries that oppose sanctions on Russia, referring to Hungary and Germany.

Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korčok informed Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó that they should respect each other’s views on military assistance to Ukraine, meaning that the Hungarian government should not communicate as if the V4 countries were trying to prolong the conflict by sending arms to Ukraine.
