Speaking at a press conference in northeastern Slovakia, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki jointly called for stronger sanctions against Russia over its aggression in Ukraine.
But Heger also “expressed his disappointment at the attitude of Hungary, which refuses to supply Ukraine with weapons or allow military transports carrying weapons to cross its territory.”
Morawiecki claimed that he and Heger “were outraged that countries such as Hungary and Germany had protested against sanctions targeting Russia.”
While the other V4 countries, Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, have supplied heavy weapons to Ukraine, Hungary has remained neutral over the war in Ukraine. [BBC]
