Viktor Orbán gave a rousing speech to Fidesz-KDNP parliamentary group members at a closed-door retreat held in Balatonfüred, according to a report in Magyar Nemzet.
But the Prime Minister also reportedly issued a warning to MPs, telling them that they will have to work hard, as “no one will forgive sloppiness and indifference.”
Orbán believes that the ruling Fidesz-KDNP coalition is the favorite to win the April 3 elections, but that the party has to seize the opportunity and give 110% to the effort.
In his speech to his party faithful, the Prime Minister summarized the results of the past few months, claimed that the stakes of the election were a possible return to power of the left and Ferenc Gyurcsány, and said that Brussels was attacking Hungary because of its so-called child protection law.
