Opposition leader Péter Márki-Zay announced on social media that he had been released from the hospital on Monday after surgery on his arm.
My doctors said that the wound was healing nicely and that I could go home. They didn’t have to say it twice. My wife came for me – heading home to Hódmezővásárhely.
-the joint opposition candidate for prime minister wrote on Facebook.
Márki-Zay was playing with his children at a Budapest outdoor bath when he had an accident and broke his arm. He was then admitted to the hospital and had an operation on Sunday morning. The politician also commented from his hospital bed in a video shared on social media.
