From February 24-March 24, during the first month of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, interest by Hungarians in purchasing a summer home abroad increased by 82%, reports Népszava.
István Parajdi, a real estate expert in Graz, Austria, says that more and more Hungarians are coming to him to ask about purchasing real estate in Austria.
Most of them tell him about unfavorable developments in Hungary, and the constant tension that has resulted is increasingly oppressive. Many have also had it with a “lie-based society,” and others have become embittered by politics.
As they don’t see any change coming, they are preferring to just sell what they have and leave the country. [Népszava]
