Journalist and former television host Judit Péterfi (pictured, left) will be the press chief for the coalition of opposition parties, United for Hungary, which they announced at a special event on Tuesday afternoon.
Péter Márki-Zay, the opposition’s joint prime ministerial candidate (pictured, right), recalled that he had met the journalist during his campaign for the special mayoral election in Hódmezővásárhely in 2018, when she was hosting the “Private Sphere” program on HírTV. The politician also revealed that Judit Péterfi had written to him at that time to say that Hungary needed a prime minister like him.
Speaking at the event, Judit Péterfi turned to Márki-Zay and said that “the country loves you because you are who you are.” She also called him a lovable person who is “one of us,” and that he had already proved his worth.
