“As I didn’t feel completely healthy this morning, I went in for a coronavirus test as a precaution, the result of which was unfortunately positive,” wrote András Cser-Palkovics, the mayor of Székesfehérvár, on Facebook on Thursday night.

According to the post, a second test also confirmed that he had caught the virus. Cser-Palkovics doesn’t have any serious symptoms, just a fever and a little cough, he said.

The mayor is now in quarantine, and has asked colleagues who come in contact with him to be tested. He ascribes his mild symptoms to the fact that he has received three vaccine shots.
